Molly Cowley studied Violin Performance at Brigham Young University (BA Violin Performance, 2015). She has over fifteen years of teaching experience and is Suzuki certified through Suzuki Book 10. She attended Brevard Music Festival where she was coached by Yo Yo Ma and William Preucil. In 2024, Molly founded the Lark String Quartet, an outstanding all-women chamber group based in the greater Salt Lake area. Besides being involved in Salt Lake’s vibrant recording scene she frequently sits as Concertmaster for the Bountiful Philharmonia and plays with the Orchestra at Temple Square.
Molly teaches students from age 3-18. Her favorite thing to do when teaching young children is using goofy stories and games to keep them engaged! Her advanced students frequently serve as concertmasters and section leaders in their youth orchestras and are winners of local concerto competitions including the Utah Valley Youth Orchestra.
When Molly is not teaching or performing she loves spending time with her four young kids making messes in the art room of their home!
